Air Vice Marshal Ashfaque Arain promoted

The Government on Friday promoted Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Ashfaque Arain, to the rank of Air Marshal. According to PAF Media Affairs, Air Marshal Muhammad Ashfaque Arain was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in October, 1981. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron and an Operational Air Base. 



In his staff appointments he has served as Director Operations, Director Strategic Operations, Chief Project Director Project Horizon, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operations), Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Plans), Director General Projects and Director General Air Force Strategic Command at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He has also served as an Air Attache in India. Presently, he is performing his duties as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Administration) at Air Headquarters Islamabad. 

He is a graduate of Combat Commanders' School, Air War College and National Defence University. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat.
