Pakistan army is assisting the police and rangers at all entry & exit points of the metropolis to combat terrorism, The Nation learnt on Monday.
According to the details, Pak Army soldiers took positions at all entry and exit points of the city providing assistance to security forces at Super Highway, National Highway and Hub.
Sources privy to the matter revealed that the deployment of army is a part of the national action plan.

It’s worth mentioning here that rangers have already been deployed in the city for the assistance of Karachi police while army was being added to strengthen the hold.
Civil administration had vowed to enhance security arrangements to prevent smuggling of arms, explosives, stolen vehicles to curb violence.
