Army rehabilitates 10 flood-hit schools

GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Army Gujranwala Corps completed rehabilitation of 10 projects including nine schools and one rural dispensary that were damaged by the worst flash flood in Chenab River in Pukhlian, Chaprar and Khoje Chak sectors along Sialkot Working Boundary. 

It is to be recalled that during the last monsoon, heavy floods in River Chenab and Jammu resulted in colossal damage to many government structures including education institutions which were either completely collapsed or received substantial damages. 
However, Pakistan Army took upon itself the task of rebuilding and revamping these facilities. Under this spirit, Pak Army rehabilitated 10 projects including nine schools and a rural health dispensary in a short span of two months. The scope of work included construction of boundary walls, restoring water supply and sanitation, repair / maintenance of classrooms and inculcation of conducive educational environment. The army Gujranwala Corpse also installed playing gadgets at these schools and provided school bags to students.
