ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif today (Friday) in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.
According to sources talks regarding professional matters of army, situation of national security and formation of military courts were held during the meeting whereas implementation on National Action Plan (NAP) was also reviewed.
The PM expressed satisfaction at the progress of operations against the terrorists however, political and military leadership agreed to accelerate the operations to combat terrorism in the country.
Moreover, Army Chief also briefed the PM on Operation Zarb-e-Azab and Operation Khyber One.
Earlier, NAP was initiated in the wake of Peshawar School Attack whereas the formulation of military courts was processed to curb out terrorism from the country. Besides this the process of executing terrorists through military courts is still underway.
