RAWALPINDI: General Raheel Sharif met military officials of United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday and discussed important issues with them. Army chief attended international defence exhibition in UAE capital Abu Dhabi and met senior
civil and military officials. UAE officials expressed desire to improve cooperation with Pakistan army in the field of military training. They also praised the success of Pakistan army in Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
According to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa, Army Chief went to the UAE and attended international defence exhibition. He visited the stalls set up there by Pakistan, China, Russia and the UAE.
General Raheel Sharif met the UAE Chief of Staff Hammad Muhammad bin Al-Tahani and other civil and military leaders. Security situation, Operation Zarb-e-Azb and defence cooperation were discussed on this occasion.
UAE officials admired Pakistan army’s success in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and expressed the desire to improve cooperation with Pakistan army in the field of military training.
