At least two dozen militants have been killed in two separate military attacks in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal regions, the army says.
The army said on Tuesday that it carried out airstrikes in the restive North Waziristan tribal region.
"In early morning precise aerial strikes in North Waziristan Agency today, 17 terrorists were killed including some foreigners," a senior security official said.
An intelligence official said that five Uzbek and two Haqqani network militants were among those killed in the airstrikes.
The army added that ground troops also exchanged fire with militants in Tirah valley of Khyber agency. At least seven militants were killed during the clashes.
