WAH CANTT - The participants of National Security and War Course-2014-2015 at National Defence University, Islamabad hailing from Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Turkmenistan, UAE, UK, USA and Zimbabwe under the leadership of Rear Admiral Moazzam Ilyas, SI(M) visited POF on Monday morning.
The delegation was received by Riaz Ahmed, DICR and Member POF Board and Muhammad Asif Sheikh, MPC & Member POF Board on their arrival at POF. While briefing the delegation about the capabilities of POF, Tabassum Rehman, Director Exports said that POF is a vital defence installation of Pakistan and mandated to meet the defence requirements of Pakistan in war and peace. He told the delegation that in the present war on terror, POF has met enhanced demands of Pakistan Army in terms of arms and ammunition despite many challenges.
He further told that in order to make the organization self sufficient and to equip it with modern technologies, joint venture with various countries of the world are under consideration. During questions/answer session, members of delegation asked many questions about this defence industrial complex. Chairman POF Board Lt Gen Muhammad Ahsan Mahmood, HI(M) gave detailed answer of each question.
The participants were taken around some selected production units where they took keen interest in the manufacturing process of POF products. They praised the high standard of POF Products and called it a role model and example for other institutions of the country.
