Pakhtunkhwa. A security official, on condition of anonymity, told a private news channel that Bakhat Raj financed the group’s terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Buner district and the port city of Karachi. Security forces are carrying out intelligence-driven operations across Pakistan during which a number of important militants have been rounded up. Last year in December, the Pakistan army decided to continue ‘intelligence-based operations’ (IBOs) against militant targets throughout the country to preempt terrorist attacks.
