APS massacre survivors return home after China visit

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The delegate of Peshawar school massacre survivors reached back to Pakistan on Friday after ten-day visit to China. The children are ready for a fresh start and a renewed determination to defeat terrorists at every cost, Dunya News reported.


The children along with parents and teachers visited various cities including Beijing, Hong Kong and historic sites including China wall. The school children also visited China’s Space Center and met various astronauts there. All in all, it turned out to be a productive and beneficial trip for the students, who said they enjoyed China’s traditional hospitality, culture and food.
A ceremony was held by the Pakistan Embassy College in children’s honour. On the occasion, surviving children expressed strong determination to fight terrorism.
APS school’s survivors’ China visit was part of rehabilitation programme initiated by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif. The purpose of the visit was for the children to take their minds of the Peshawar school attack that left over 152 including schoolchildren dead and several wounded.
As per the rehab plan, more affected children will be sent on study and recreational trips to various countries.
