Don’t underestimate the power of Nuclear-Power Pakistan: Khawaja Asif warns India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has warned India not to underestimate Nuclear-power Pakistan and it shouldn’t be mistaken about our strength as well.


Commenting on the recent proactive statements of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other politicos of India, Asif said, it become the habit of India to violate the Line of Control (LoC). He said, we are peaceful people and believed on mutual harmony in the region and any country shouldn’t be mistaken about Pakistan’s strength.
After the statement of Indian Prime Minister Modi and his Minister, Pakistani officials has shown a strong expression and called it threat for the region. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said yesterday in a press conference, “Indian Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore shouldn’t be mistaken that Pakistan was Myanmar. “Those having nefarious designs about Pakistan should be clear that the armed forces of Pakistan have the capability to respond to any misadventure,” he added.
Ex-President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has also condemned on the statements of Indian Prime Minister and called it irresponsible statements. He said that Modi acceptance of breaking Pakistan is a negative attitude and could threaten peace in the region. He demanded International Court to take notice of Modi’s statement about India involvement in East Pakistan.
A formation commander’s conference chaired by Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters on Wednesday took serious notice of the recent hostile Indian statements to destabilise Pakistan. It was said in the forum that it is regrettable that Indian politicians are not only interfering in issuing statements against Pakistan that is the violation of charter of United Nations but also taking pride in claiming interference in the internal affairs of the states.
