Governor, Lahore Corps Commander discuss law and order

LAHORE - Corp Commander Lahore Lt. General Naveed Zaman called on Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana on Tuesday at the Governor House Lahore. 





According to an official handout, the two discussed overall law and order situation and important national issues including the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation against the terrorists. 
 The governor was told that operation Zarb-e-Azb was heading in the right direction and country’s armed forces had gained major achievements in the war against terrorism. The governor said that the whole nation was united and supportive to its political and military leadership to eliminate the menace of terrorism. 
Lauding the sacrifices rendered by the security forces, the governor said that Pakistan Army was playing pivotal role in the regional and global peace and the participation of its contingents in the UN peace keeping missions was more than any other nation of the world. 
“Our forces are considered as one of the best forces of the world and their professional competence and capabilities are acknowledged at every corner of the world”, Rajwana observed.  
 Lt. General Naveed Zaman said that Pakistan Army was fully determined to eliminate terrorism and the miscreants will be dealt with iron hands. He congratulated Malik Rafiq Rajwana on assuming the responsibilities as the Governor of Punjab and expressed his good wishes for his success as the constitutional head of the province.
