ZARDARI SALUTES PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES

Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Monday said that he salutes the Pakistan Army for looking after the security of the country and its people continuously day and night. Zardari said the country had benefited from Operation Zarb-e-Azb. 




He expressed these views while addressing the passing out parade at Razzaqabad Police Training Centre here on Monday.

Zardari said the country’s enemies were using new ways and technology-stressing innovation was required in the police force. 

According to the details, at least 700 police officers, 380 police personnel passed out in the ceremony. At least 40 women personnel were also passed out with the batch. Zardari was the guest of honour in the ceremony. He urged the government to give salaries to the families of the security forces martyrs and jobs to their children.

He said that crime rate in the province has decreased for which the credit goes to Sindh Inspector General (IG).

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman said that the Sindh police rendered sacrifices and the policemen deserve more facilities. He said that the families of martyred policemen should be given salaries every month and the government should facilitate their children in getting higher education.

“I have asked Sindh Police to take care of their personnel the way armed forces take care of their men”, he asserted.

During the same ceremony, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah congratulated Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on the completion of one year of Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Shah said extortion, kidnapping for ransom and target killing have decreased in Karachi. 

Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah said that advanced weaponry is needed for the Elite Force for which the federation was asked. He said that the government will make the Elite Force an un-defeatable force by providing them advanced weapons and modern training.

The CM said that the Sindh Police arrested the criminals behind Safoora massacre in as many as four days.

Senator Sherry Rehman and Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial also attended the passing out parade along with others.
