ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday condemned Saturday’s drone strike that resulted in a number of casualties in Mana area of North Waziristan Agency.
“We condemn such strikes which are a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said in a statement issued here.
He said these strikes generated distrust among local people at a time when Zarb-i-Azb military operation was moving ahead decisively and the focus of the government was shifting towards rehabilitation of civilian population.
“We reiterate our call for a cessation of such strikes,” said the spokesman.
