RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif called Prince Karim Aga Khan and offered his heartfelt condolences on the killing of innocent people in the Karachi terrorist attack.
The COAS said, “Our heart goes out for the bereaved families,” said an Inter-Services Public Relations press release issued here.
The army chief said that no efforts would be spared to apprehend and punish perpetrators of this terrorist act, their abettors and backers.
Earlier, Gen Sharif cancelled his pre-scheduled three-day visit to Sri Lanka.
According to the ISPR, the army chief cancelled the visit because of the terrorist attack in Karachi.
