Army ready to defeat any form of threat: COAS

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Wednesday said Pakistan Army is fully prepared to deter and defeat any form of aggression across the entire spectrum of threat.

The COAS was talking to the troops after visiting Tilla Range near Jhelum where he witnessed the culmination of exercise by formations of Central Command in near-real environment.

The COAS appreciated the professional skills and motivation of troops involved in the exercise. He emphasised that the whole nation stands alongside its armed forces in efforts to root out menace of terrorism from across the country. “We will not stop short of accomplishing our mission irrespective of the cost.” He called upon the soldiers to fully focus on training and professional pursuits as the strenuous training and highest standards of preparedness in peacetime were the only guarantors of success in the battlefield.
