ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Army clinched the Chairman POF Basketball Cup 2015 title after defeating PAF 66-57 in the final played at POF Sports Complex Wah Cantt Thursday.
It was a grueling encounter between the two top teams of the country, which was duly appreciated and enjoyed by the pack to capacity crowd.
Army dominated all the four quarters of the match, but PAF remained at their tail and gave them a real run for their money before going down fighting.
Although Army remained on top in all the quarters but the difference was always with in touching distance.
Army never let PAF off the hook and managed to grab the title with slight margin.
Lt Gen M Ahsan Mahmood, HI (M), POF Board chairman, was the chief guest at the occasion and distributed prizes among the players.
In his welcoming remarks, Col (R) Inamullah Khan, POF Sports Control Board vice president, said that POF Sports Control Board under the guidance of the POF Board chairman always endeavored to promote sports activities in this cantonment and would continue to promote it in future too.
A large numbers of players and spectators witnessed the final.
