PESHAWAR – Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Hidyatur Rehman Wednesday called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak here at Chief Minister’s House and briefed him on security situation.
Hidayatur Rehman apprised the chief minister regarding the security challenges particularly in Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, besides matters relating to repatriation of the displaced persons to their respective agencies.
He appreciated the efforts of the provincial government for maintaining peace in the province and stay arrangements for the displaced persons. The chief minister paying rich tribute to Pakistan Army and sacrifices for the nation and Pakistan said that the nation is proud of its valiant armed forces.
He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was taking measures to strengthen the police force for maintenance of law and order, adding that despite limited resources of the province, the provincial government is making all-out efforts for provision of all possible resources to the displaced persons. Hidyatur Rehman said that Pakistan Army is committed to protecting the nation and Pakistan from the menace of terrorism.
